Journalism Club
This club will focus on learning a new aspect of writing, writing for entertainment purposes. Practice being on Air, create a school radio station, and develop skills for broadcasting. This club will meet twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays)
Champions in Motion
Combines Pom dance and Cheerleading into one program. Students are taught cheerleading techniques such as short chants, arm motions, jumps, kicks and stunting techniques. Students are also taught a special long team performance cheer and cheer dance routine (with use of poms) each semester that is presented by each team at the Cheer Showcase. We have incorporated the most modern and current dance techniques into our curriculum, and developed teaching methods that work best for children and teens. Cheerleading is a TEAM-ORIENTED sport and we encourage students to demonstrate teamwork, sportsmanship and dedication to being part of the team while participating in our program. This club will twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) after normal club times.
Crochet Club
Students grade 3rd through 4th will learn to crochet by creating projects with the use of a crochet hook and yarn. This club will meet on Tuesdays
Fitness Club
This club will meet every Wednesday and is for grades 6th through 8th. Students are required to meet a minimum GPA of 3.5 to participate. This club is sponsored by Coach Dailey and will focus on athletic skills and performance to give students extra time to increase their fitness levels after school. We will use conditioning, performance activities and various sports to allow the students to build stronger bodies and minds.
Math League
This is an Advanced Math Club for grades 2nd through 5th that will challenge students with real life problem solving skills.
Students must maintain at least a "B" in Math
4H
4‑H is America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. It gives young people the opportunity to develop their skills, talents, and interests. 4-H stands for "Head", "Heart", "Hands", and "Health".4-H gives young people an opportunity to compete in various groups of interest.
Beta Club
This club will meet every Monday and is for grades 4th through 8th. This club is sponsored by Mr. Egan. Beta Club is a nationally recognized community service honors club that focuses on leadership, achievement, character, and service. Students in this club are required to complete a min of 25 hours of community service and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5. Most community service hours will be achieved through activities with the club. This club participates in a State Convention every year, but attendance at the convention is not required. Students must apply with an application given to Mr. Egan for review.
