Mary "Tootie" Stewart Owen Kennedy

Mrs. Mary Stewart Owen Kennedy, known as "Tootie" is a long time educator, having taught Science in grades 8- 12. She graduated from the University of Kentucky. She began her teaching career in Fayette County, Kentucky and was Co-Founder FOP Rocketeers. Tootie was Teacher of the Year at Riverview High School in 1996-1997. She also was a USCG Licensed Captain at Carefree Learner, Sarasota High School. She retired from teaching in 2014. During her free time she enjoys kayaking, reading, quilting, and playing mahjong.

Pat Mizak is the Assistant Vice President for Planning & Institutional Effectiveness and faculty member in the Business of Art & Design program at Ringling College of Art and Design. He formerly worked at Armstrong Atlantic State University (now Georgia Southern University) in Savannah, Georgia and Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. He is a graduate of Cornell University (B.A. History), Cleveland State University (M.A. Economics), Georgia Institute of Technology (M.S. International Affairs), and the State University of New York at Buffalo (Ph.D. Higher Education). He has over 20 years of experience in higher education as a teacher and administrator. Pat also participates in accrediting colleges and universities for both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. He and his wife are the parents of five children and moved to Sarasota in 2012. In his spare time, Pat enjoys watching sports, throwing darts, and cooking.

Dan Dembicki is CEO and President at Synergy Health Network. He is a Music Director and keyboard Specialist. Dan studied Business Management and Communication at Central Michigan University. Dan enjoys playing the organ and is in several local bands.

Eric Boelts is the current principal and owner of Brain Bolts and the past principal and co-founder of Boelts Bros. He has a BFA in graphic design and an MBA in entrepreneurship and marketing - both from the University of Arizona. Eric’s passion for teaching blended with his interest in the intersection of art and business in the world of design has led him to teach at Ringling College of Art +Design. Eric has garnered hundreds of awards in numerous design competitions, with a focus on posters, throughout the world including the Czech Republic, Bolivia, Mexico, England, Canada, Russia, Poland and the USA. Eric is a member of many design and marketing organizations, serves as a board member for agencies and companies and has judged design competitions internationally and domestically. Eric currently resides in Sarasota, Florida and is married with two children and has the world's most stubborn dog. He runs long distances, paints with watercolor, is addicted to basketball and can both draw with a pencil and use a spreadsheet.

Pamela Lyon is an accomplished artist, educator, and entrepreneur with a lifelong commitment to creativity, learning, and community service. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ringling College of Art and Design and pursued graduate studies at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, where she also studied with master portrait artist Daniel Greene, NA. As the former sole proprietor of Blue Door Studio on Siesta Key, Pamela taught adult studio art classes and worked as a freelance portrait artist and illustrator,
combining her passion for education with successful small business leadership. Her experience in curriculum development, instruction, and entrepreneurship provides a well-rounded perspective on governance, strategic planning, fiscal responsibility, and organizational growth.
Pamela believes that charter schools play a vital role in fostering innovation, academic excellence, and lifelong learning. She is committed to supporting policies that empower students, strengthen families, and inspire educators to achieve their highest potential. Outside of her professional endeavors, Pamela enjoys competing as a USTA tennis team player and is a Certified Master Gardener, reflecting her dedication to discipline, teamwork, and environmental stewardship. She brings these values, along with integrity, collaboration, and a passion for education, to her service as a Board Director.
