Stop Motion Animation Club
This club will meet every Wednesday and is for grades 4th through 8th. This club is sponsored by Ms. Robbins and will
explore and create short stop motion animation and will meet in the computer lab. This club has a limit of 15 students.
Homework Club
This club will meet every Thursday and is for all grades. This club is sponsored by Mrs. Chambers and is for helping students complete their homework and have a teacher there to answer any questions. This club has a limit of 15 students.
Gardening Club
This club will meet every Tuesday and is for grades 3rd through 8th. This club is sponsored by Ms. Thomas and will learn about agriculture and how it not only affects locally but also globally. We will learn how to grow different types of fruits and vegetables depending on the seasons. This club has no size restrictions.
Fitness Club
This club will meet every Wednesday and is for grades 6th through 8th. Students are required to meet a minimum GPA of 3.5 to participate. This club is sponsored by Coach Dailey and will focus on athletic skills and performance to give students extra time to increase their fitness levels after school. We will use conditioning, performance activities and various sports to allow the students to build stronger bodies and minds.
Cooking Club
This club will meet every Thursday and ONLY for the first semester of the school year ending in December. This club is sponsored by Mrs. Davis and Students will learn various cooking tools, safety and food prep skills in this club. They will participate in a food lab, learning the four flavors; sour, sweet ,bitter and salty. This will help in creating their own dishes. At the end of the semester, students will bring a dish and participate in our end of club potluck to show off what they learned.
Beta Club
This club will meet every Monday and is for grades 4th through 8th. This club is sponsored by Mr. Egan. Beta Club is a nationally recognized community service honors club that focuses on leadership, achievement, character, and service. Students in this club are required to complete a min of 25 hours of community service and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5. Most community service hours will be achieved through activities with the club. This club participates in a State Convention every year, but attendance at the convention is not required. Students must apply with an application given to Mr. Egan for review.
