This week will be a short one with the first semester ending on Thursday. With the change in the district calendar, the semester ends prior to the winter break, so students should be sure all work is in before Thursday. There is still one exam left for the 8th graders - Civics on Tuesday. Students who may have missed the i-ready diagnostic or the 5th through 8th grade science benchmarks should make them up this week. There is one performance left - 3rd and 4th and the 5th grade holiday plays on Tuesday at the Glenridge Performing Arts Center beginning at 6:00. Please see Ms. Julie's bulletins for arrival time for students.
Please check with the students and their teachers about holiday activities that may still be occurring this week. Last week the third graders and their parents enjoyed the gingerbread house party and we appreciate, as always, the parent participation. The Holiday Store was a great success. Thanks to the PTO board and all of the parent volunteers who helped out. We love our volunteers!
Enrollment information will be coming home this week. Please ask your child for it, You'll be hearing about some changes in classrooms from the students. When they return in January, the music classes will have moved to the front building, taking over a part of what is the Julie Rohr Academy preschool. The middle school social studies classroom will move to the current music room. This should alleviate the noise problem for the 4th grade classroom and teachers having to move from room to room to teach. All renovation and movement of materials should occur over the break.
Have a wonderful and safe holiday. School resumes on January 8.
