I hope all of you have had a happy and restful Thanksgiving holiday and survived Gray Thursday, Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday. Now it's back to school for the three weeks until Winter Holidays. These are busy weeks, too, with mid-terms, field trips, and holiday performances. Please check the calendar and look for our reminder emails.
We are delighted to announce that SAA last week purchased the property across Tree Road. The whole parcel was divided so we have the 1 1/4 acres directly across from the car line drive. The next step is to demolish the two old houses there so that we can begin using the site for parking and playing areas. Eventually a new set of classrooms will be built, but that's for later. We are very excited about the opportunities this purchase opens up for us. A strategic planning meeting will be held after the December Governing Board meeting on December 12.
Progress reports for middle schoolers will be available on the parent portal at the end of the week. Parents wishing conferences may contact either the teacher directly or the office to schedule. Algebra and Spanish 1 students will be taking their mid-term exams before the holiday break.
We had a wonderful turn out for the skating last Tuesday evening. Families from all grade levels were there. Ms. Garabedian reported that the third grade Thanksgiving feast was well attended with plenty of tasty food for all.
The SAC (School Advisory) will be held Wednesday, November 30 at 4:25 in the administration building. You are welcome to attend.
Have a wonderful week.
